Rockstar Energy DrinkRockstar's advertising is pretty aggressive and is all about entertainment combined with energy. We are led to believe this is the drink you want in your hand to be the cool kid at the party. Rockstar even sponsored a Girls Gone Wild DVD series. That's some hardcore partying for sure. I was looking forward to my first drink in the morning when I woke up and I wasn't all that impressed with Rockstar. From the first drink it tasted very similar to Monster Energy Drink, so no points for originality. Their ingredients list is as long as they come -- everything from Taurine to Ginseng to Guarana. Taurine and Ginseng being the two buzz words when it comes to energy drinks its no surprise to see them on the front of the label. However, Rockstar really isn't anything all that special. Go figure, Rockstar is manufactured out of Las Vegas, the entertainment capital of the world. What we have here isn't so much an original and tasty energy drink -- quite the contrary. Here we have a company that has completely bypassed the idea of presenting a unique original product and instead has focused on a name and marketing campaign. Sure, RedBull does similar, but at least RedBull is an original product with an original taste.
